- Malls: the easiest places to get coffee is usually in malls - Glories, Diagonal Mar, L'Illa, etc. Often the coffee shops (and restaurants) are integrated in the mall and not seperate places, meaning no doors to open.
- La Estrella on C/Marina 137. Though it has a step up to enter, it's not a problem thanks to the sliding doors. Sit at one of the tables and your order will be brought to you.
- Starbuck's:
- The one on Consell de Cent (between Psg. de Gracia and Rambla de Catalunya) has doors wide enough to get through, and has plenty of space inside. There are comfortable armchairs, and getting around with a double stroller is no problem.
- The one on Rambla de Catalunya (between Gran Via and Ronda de Sant Pere) is great when the weather is nice. It's easy to get inside with a double stroller, but the interor isn't very inviting for strollers. However, they have loads of tables outside and there's normally plenty of space.
When you need to go:
- Boulevard Rosa have a handicap/baby-changing toilet. It's the door opposite the entrance to the regular toilets, it's big enough to enter with a double stroller and there's a toilet, a sink and a changing-table.
- Glories Mall also has a handicap toilet on the 1st floor which is big enough for a double stroller.
- Starbuck's on Psg. de Gracia has a handicap toilet, but they often use it as a storage room and it can be difficult to get in. The staff are happy to help, and once they even took out one of the tables stored in there so I could get in.
Besides the big supermarkets in the malls around the city, here are some small, local stores where you can comfortably get around (and in and out) with a double stroller:
- Keisy: Consell de Cent (between C/Girona and C/Bailén)
- Keisy: Diputació (between C/Roger de Flor and C/Nàpols)
- Lidl: Gran Via (Between C/Sicilia and C/Sardenya)
- Schlecker: Marina (I'm not exactly sure what the cross streets are, I think it's somewhere around C/Llull or C/Ramon Turró)
